Entertainment Use Only

QuickFlit is provided for entertainment purposes only. We collect only what a real-time chat session needs to run, plus — if you choose to create one — what your account needs.

Audio and video are streamed live and are never recorded or stored — no recording of your microphone, your camera or the character's video is kept anywhere.

Conversation Logs

The text of a conversation — what you said, transcribed, and what the character replied — is kept in an anonymised log for up to 30 days, then deleted. It is anonymised: the log is not stored against your account, your email address or your IP address, and we cannot look up "what did this person say". We keep it only to debug faults, to keep characters within their brief, and to detect abuse of the service.

Analytics & Cookies

QuickFlit uses PostHog (EU-hosted) for anonymous usage analytics only if you accept the consent banner on first visit. Analytics events are metadata-only — no message content ever goes into an analytics event. Your consent choice is stored in your browser's localStorage and can be reset at any time by clearing site data. Declining disables PostHog entirely.

We also use Vercel Analytics, which counts page views and page-speed measurements. It runs whatever you choose above, because it sets no cookies, stores no identifier on your device and cannot follow you between visits or across sites — there is nothing about you for it to remember. It records the page address, the referring page and coarse details like country and device type. It never sees your account, your messages or which character you spoke to.

AI Processing

Real-time avatar video is generated by our avatar-rendering stack during the session, and no media is stored after your session ends.

Conversation text is processed by AI language-model partners to generate the character's replies. Depending on the character and on availability, that may be DeepSeek, Kimi or OpenAI. What reaches them is the conversation text and the character's instructions — never your email address, your account, your payment details or your IP address. Each partner handles that text under its own privacy policy and its own retention rules, which we do not control.

Please do not type anything into a chat that you would not want a third party to process — no passwords, financial details, health details or other sensitive personal information.

Accounts

Browsing QuickFlit and having a free flit never require an account. If you create one, we store your email address, an optional display name and an optional picture link, and the date you joined. The display name is only ever shown back to you in your own account area — it is never sent to a character, a persona or an AI prompt.

To meet a character you must first confirm you are 16 or older. We ask for your date of birth once, for that verification; it is stored with your profile (anonymous or registered) and is never shared with anyone or shown publicly.

We also record which character you met and when, so your account can show you your own history. That is metadata only — it holds nothing that was said. The conversation log described above is separate, anonymised and not linked to your account, so no one can pull up a transcript of your chats, and neither can we.

Payments

Chat credits are sold through Stripe Checkout. Card details are entered on Stripe's own page and never touch QuickFlit — we never see or store a card number. We keep a record of each purchase (date, pack, amount, credits) and of every credit added or spent. Stripe keeps its own transaction records under its retention rules, including after you delete your QuickFlit account.

Free-Chat Limits

To keep free chats available to everyone, we count recent free sessions per visitor. That uses a signed cookie in your browser plus a salted, one-way hash of your IP address — we do not store the IP address itself, and the hashes are deleted after 7 days.

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. That permanently removes your login, your display name and picture link, your credit balance and your list of past flits. Any unused credits go with it.

Payment and credit records are the one exception: they are kept, with your account link removed so they are no longer tied to you. We need them to settle refunds, chargebacks and tax records, and Stripe retains its side of every transaction regardless.

Who Processes Your Data

Supabase (accounts and database), Stripe (payments), Resend (account emails such as sign-in links), PostHog (anonymous analytics, only if you accept the consent banner) and Vercel (site hosting, plus the cookieless page-view and page-speed analytics described above).

For the conversation itself: our own avatar-rendering stack, and the AI language-model partners named above — DeepSeek (deepseek.com), Kimi (kimi.com) and OpenAI (openai.com).
