Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and QuickFlit ("QuickFlit", "we", "us") covering the website at quickflit.ai and everything on it. By using QuickFlit you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

What QuickFlit Is

QuickFlit is entertainment. You pick a character and have a short live voice-and-video conversation with them — typically around three minutes, ending with a closing scene. The characters are fictional. They are generated by artificial intelligence and animated by an avatar renderer. They are not real people, they do not represent real people, and nothing they say is a statement of fact by us.

Nothing a character says is advice — not medical, legal, financial, psychological or otherwise. Do not rely on it. QuickFlit is not a companionship service, a counselling service, a dating service or a crisis service. If you are in distress, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency service.

You Must Be 18 or Over

QuickFlit is for adults. By using the service you confirm you are at least 18 years old, and that using it is lawful where you are. If we believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and cancel any unused credits.

Accounts

Browsing QuickFlit and having a free flit do not require an account. Buying credits and meeting premium characters do. Sign-in is by an emailed link, so your email inbox is your key — keep it secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person; do not share it, sell it or transfer it.

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Doing so cancels any unused credits, which are not refundable on deletion. What we keep afterwards, and why, is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Free Chats and Fair Use

We offer a limited number of free chats per visitor over a rolling period. The limit exists to keep free access available to everyone and to cap what the service costs us to run, so we may change it, and we may apply it per browser, per network or both. Deliberately working around the limit — repeatedly clearing cookies, cycling addresses, scripting the service, or using several accounts to get more free chats — is a breach of these terms.

Credits and Payment

Premium characters cost credits. Credits are bought in packs through Stripe Checkout; card details are entered on Stripe's own page and never reach QuickFlit. Prices are shown before you pay and include any tax we are required to charge.

Credits are a licence to use the service, not money, not a stored-value instrument and not property. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred between accounts, or sold. They are not a deposit and they earn nothing.

A credit is spent when a chat session is authorised. If a session fails through a fault on our side, contact us and we will restore the credit. Beyond that, and beyond your rights under New Zealand consumer law, credit purchases are final and unused credits are non-refundable. Because credits are digital content delivered immediately, you agree that delivery begins as soon as you complete checkout.

We may change pack prices and the credit cost of a character at any time. Changes apply to future purchases and future sessions, never retroactively to credits you already hold.

How You May Use It

You agree not to:

• use QuickFlit for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten or abuse anyone;
• attempt to push a character into sexual, violent, hateful or illegal content, or to impersonate a real person;
• attempt to extract, jailbreak or reverse-engineer the prompts, models, voices or renderer behind a character;
• record, capture, republish or redistribute a character's voice, likeness or video, or use any of it to train another model;
• scrape, script, automate, resell, sublicense or otherwise access the service by any means other than the website as provided;
• probe, load-test, interfere with or attempt to bypass any limit, paywall, credential or security control on the service;
• upload malware, or do anything that degrades the service for other people.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, without refunding unused credits.

Content and AI Output

The characters, their names, likenesses, voices, videos, scripts and the QuickFlit name and logo are ours or our licensors', and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. Using the service does not transfer any of it to you. You get a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use QuickFlit for your own entertainment, and nothing more.

What you type stays yours. You grant us a licence to process it for the limited purpose of running your session and operating the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Character replies are generated automatically. They can be wrong, strange, repetitive or out of character, and we do not review them before you see them. We do our best to keep characters within their brief — respectfully flirty, never sexual — but we cannot guarantee any particular output. If something comes out badly, please tell us.

Third Parties

QuickFlit depends on providers we do not control, including AI model providers, avatar rendering, hosting, email and payment processing. Our Privacy Policy names them and explains what each one handles. An outage or change at any of them can interrupt the service.

Availability and Changes

QuickFlit is provided as it is and as available. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, that every character will stay available, or that a character will behave the same way twice. We may add, change, retire or price characters differently, and we may change or discontinue the service. If we discontinue it entirely, we will make a reasonable effort to give notice and to refund credits bought and unused in the preceding 90 days.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and material changes will be flagged on the site. Continuing to use QuickFlit after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where those Acts apply to you. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If you use QuickFlit for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply and is contracted out of, and that exclusion is fair and reasonable given QuickFlit is entertainment sold at a low price.

Subject to the above, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or any distress arising from a character's output, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid QuickFlit in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still stands. Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us — most things are quicker to sort out that way.
